Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait Sign Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Economy and Planning

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, and the State of Kuwait, represented by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening relations and advancing collaboration in the fields of economy and planning. The signing took place as part of the third meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council, held in Riyadh.
This Memorandum seeks to establish a framework for understanding between the two sides, encompassing the promotion of collaboration across various areas, such as medium- and long-term economic planning, economic studies and modeling, and the governance of economic plans.
The Memorandum also covers the enhancement of collaboration in fields including the green, circular, and digital economies, economic policy, economic knowledge and media, and the development of economic leadership.
The Memorandum was signed by Eng. Rakan Tarabzoni, Deputy Minister for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sheikh Dr. Nimer bin Fahad Al-Malek Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, on behalf of the State of Kuwait.
The Memorandum stipulates that collaboration will be pursued through various means, including the exchange of information, expertise, and studies; mutual visits between experts and specialists; the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops; in addition to other methods as may be agreed upon by both sides.
