The Ministry of Economy and Planning is a government entity established by Royal Decree in 1953. Itis responsible for regulating economic affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and developing development plans aligned with the vision of the Kingdom's decision-makers. The Ministry follows the best standards and practices to ensure data security and protection and adheres to national regulations and instructions governing the destruction and disposal of personal data when the purpose of its collection is no longer valid, or when the data has been archived beyond its designated storage period. Disposal is carried out through technical procedures in a secure manner, ensuring that data cannot be retrieved.

The Ministry and its platforms provide links to external websites operated by other parties, aiming to facilitate the user's access to sites that may provide useful services or information. However, the Ministry does not bear any responsibility for the privacy and confidentiality policies applied on those sites, nor for their performance or impact in general. users are advised to read the privacy and confidentiality policies of each site before using it.
8- Rights of the Personal Data Owner
Under the Personal Data Protection Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/19) dated 09/02/1443 AH, amended by Royal Decree No. (M/148) dated 05/09/1444 AH, and its Implementing Regulations, the personal data owner is entitled to the following rights, considering the purpose of collecting and processing personal data:
The Right to Know:
- Be informed about the methods of collecting personal data and the legal basis for it.
- Review the purpose of collecting data, how it is processed, stored, and destroyed.
- Identify the parties with whom the data will be shared.
The Right to Access and Request Personal Data:
- Access personal data and obtain a copy of it via designated email.
- The Ministry may restrict this right under specific circumstances outlined in the law and its implementing regulations.
The Right to Correct Personal Data:
- Request correction of any inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete personal data.
- Update the data and notify the owner upon completion, followed by the destruction of supporting documents after verification.
The Right to Destroy Personal Data:
- Request the destruction of data under certain circumstances, except where the law specifies a retention period or whether there are contractual requirements.
The Right to Withdraw Consent to Process Personal Data:
- withdraw consent for data processing at any time, unless legitimate purposes require otherwise.
